Topics for this two-hour program include an introduction and overview of conservation easements, the "ABC's" of tax deductible conservation easements, various types of easements recognized, examples relevant to a finding of conservation purpose, the necessity for "permanence" in the easement, issues of valuation, and current trends in the tax arena.

Guest speakers are William R. (Bill) Sylvester, William M. (Bill) Osterbrock, Michael M. (Mike) Smith and Allen Blow of Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz PC - Birmingham and Atlanta offices.  Moderating the seminar is John W. Clark, IV of Bainbridge Mims Rogers & Smith LLP.

Approved by the Alabama State Bar MCLE Commission for 2.0 hours MCLE Credit (including 0 ethics).  The program will include a thirty-minute lunch break (boxed lunch will be provided).
