The Birmingham Bar Young Lawyers Section and Magic City Bar Association will be sponsoring a CLE program immediately following Coffee With the Judges on Friday, November 17, 2017, from 9:15am until 10:15am.  Entitled "What New Lawyers Need to Know - From a Judge's Perspective", the seminar will provide a discussion of what new lawyers need to know in order to start their careers off right.  Topics include - Client/Lawyer Relationship (Competence; Diligence), Role as Counselor (Advisor), Role as Advocate (Expediting Litigation; Candor Toward the Tribunal; Fairness to Opposing Party and Counsel), and Role in Public Service.  Speakers include Judge Elisabeth French, Judge Jim Hughey, Judge Tracie Todd, and Judge Stephen Wallace.

Application pending approval by the Alabama State Bar for 1.0 hour MCLE/Ethics Credit.  This CLE is free for current members of the BBA's Young Lawyers Section and/or the Magic City Bar Association - all others may attend for $30.00 registration fee (click here to print form to bring with check/cash - registration will be taken at door).
