In the last 20 years, new privacy and security legislation has been enacted that affects almost every sector of the U.S. and world economy, and even more regulations will be implemented over the next several months.  Our panel of attorneys - Starr Drum and Sarah Glover of Maynard Cooper & Gale, and Kelli Robinson of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama - will provide an overview of laws affecting the U. S. finance and health care industries, and will also address how the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the European Union's strict new rules for protecting all types of personal data in almost any context, will impact data privacy and security requirements worldwide.  Don't miss this program entitled "Data Privacy and Security Laws - Their Broad Reach and Enforcement".

Lunch will be provided by Maynard Cooper & Gale at 11:30am and the CLE presentation begins at 12:00 Noon.  Approved by the Alabama State Bar MCLE Commission for 1.0 hour MCLE Credit.

This program is provided free of charge to the current members of the BBA Women Lawyers Section.  All others may attend for $30.00 registration fee.  Please RSVP by completing this form (click here) and emailing to Rebecca Amthor at  Rebecca will be happy to assist you with any questions about registration or the program.
