In the first CLE hour, attorneys Kailey Blazek Naranjo and Elizabeth Van Arkel of Dentons will host a one-hour session on prevalent immigration topics, including the importance of immigrant communities in Alabama, employment-based visa categories, and family-based and humanitarian statuses. In the second CLE hour, Kailey and Liz will offer an in-depth discussion of the highly sought-after H-1B visa category, including critical dates and deadlines to be included in this years’ lottery selection.  Also, Michael Shabani and Rebecca Hackett of Shabani & Associates, P.C. will discuss their recent landmark ruling in immigration law regarding ineffective assistance of counsel.
