Jointly presented by the Women Lawyers Section and the Magic City Bar Association

This dynamic panel discussion will focus on a topic that so many in our community face, the heir property dilemma. After an introduction on the topic of heir property, the panelists will discuss ways to resolve the heir property dilemma using quiet title and tax liens. The panelists will also discuss what the Birmingham Land Bank does and how the City of Birmingham resolves blighted homes that result from abandoned heir property.

The panelists are the Honorable Judge Pat Ballard, Circuit Court Judge of Jefferson County, Janine Smith, attorney, and Caroline Douglas, Executive Director of the Birmingham Land Bank and the CLE will be moderated by Kimberly Bell.

Early Registration is encouraged, and if you register by April 25, 2023, you will receive lunch.
