The Birmingham Bar
Association is extremely pleased to present Dr. Megan Hays who will
share her expert advice to avoid burnout based on her years of experience
working with patients dealing with stress and trauma. She will share with us the multilevel factors that contribute
to burnout, how to identify signs of burnout in yourself, your colleagues and
your clients, as well as individual strategies for reducing burnout and finding
joy in your job again. Strategies for offering quality peer support to your
colleagues will also be explored. You will gain skills that will lead to
increased job satisfaction and improved wellbeing.
Speaker: Dr. Megan Hays, Associate Professor and Clinical Psychologist at UAB Medicine
– Dr. Hays' clinical practice involves the assessment and treatment of
adults with a wide range of medical trauma, including fractures, burn, crush,
amputations, and other major trauma
