As part of our Get
to Know Birmingham series, the BHM Connection Committee presents a panel
discussion that provides insights into what triggers domestic violence, the
impact and consequences of domestic violence, and what can be done to prevent
domestic violence. The panelists will discuss some of the civic and legal
services available to survivors of domestic violence and explain the challenges
involved in protecting victims and holding offenders responsible for their
actions. This program is presented in recognition of Domestic Violence
Awareness Month.
