Saba F. Syed and Brent A. Turman will examine the fatal crowd crush event at Grammy nominated Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival in November 2021 and the ensuing multidistrict litigation from the defendants’ perspective by evaluating plausible defenses, procedural hurdles and the culpability of each party. They will also provide takeaway lessons on proper crowd control and management for the live events industry in a post-pandemic world.

Texas litigator Brent Turman’s practice covers a variety of areas including business disputes, intellectual property, real estate, and civil RICO actions.
