Join the BBA Women Lawyers Section for a panel discussion on fertility and reproductive healthcare.
This CLE will cover the ins and outs of the current state of women’s reproductive healthcare from an overview of fertility treatment, to representing people who have been through fertility treatment and women dealing with reproductive health issues, to protecting IVF in Alabama. We will span protecting clients’ interests in a family law arena to estate planning. Moreover, we will help lawyers understand what their clients are currently going through physically and mentally when having to decide what to do embryos now that they have personhood status in Alabama. Moreover, we are going to explain the LePage decision defining embryos as persons, and how that impacts clients who have embryos or are creating embryos.
Panelists: AshLeigh M. Dunham, Kristin W. Sullivan, Dr. Janet Bouknight, and Corinn O'Brien.
2 Hours CLE Credits (pending); Free for all WLS Members/$10 for BBA Members/$20 for Non-Members
