The CLE will cover the major issues in billing clients for your efforts in estate, trust, conservatorship, and guardianship representations.  Both “normal” and litigation attorney fee issues will be addressed.  Topics in the “normal” section will include the necessary engagement and recordkeeping considerations as well as seeking court approval for attorney’s fees.  With respect to litigation, the seminar will cover contingency fees, fee-shifting, and taxing a beneficiary’s attorney’s fees to the relevant entity (estate, trust, or conservatorship).
