[NEW DATE] Tuesday, May 27, 2025 | Social at 5:00 pm; Film screening begins at 6:00 pm with panel discussion to follow
Sidewalk Film Center + Cinema; 1821 2nd Ave. North, Birmingham, AL 35203
Join us for a social gathering and a screening of the film, "Lilly," followed by a panel discussion.
"Lilly" tells the true story of Lilly Ledbetter, who fought against pay discrimination, leading her case to the Supreme Court. The film shows the impact of one person's bravery against injustice.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion among the judge and lawyers who handled the Northern District of Alabama case, including The Honorable U. W. Clemon, Jay St. Clair, and Jon Goldfarb, with moderator Stephanie Mays. This is a unique opportunity to hear about the litigation from those who lived it.
This is a chance to discuss the film's themes and their importance to our legal community.
About Sidewalk Film: Sidewalk Film is a non-profit organization focused on enriching the community through cinema and its annual film festival.
We hope to see you there!
This special screening is for BBA members only (with the popcorn and drinks on us)!
If you have registered but cannot attend the new screening, please inform us so we can release any spare tickets to other members.
